Computer Have the Flu?
The flu is striking so many of my friends lately. I’ve been thinking about how similar our own personal health is to the health of our computers. We both have viruses–we get sick and tired–we crash and on and on it goes. I believe that for good health— Prevention is the Best Medicine. “An Ounce of Prevention is worth a pound of cure!” “An apple a day–or a software update keeps the Doctor away!”
These are things we were taught at an early age by our parents and society in general. Be considerate of others–don’t pass on the diseases and germs we get to our fellow human beings. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough. If you get the flu or measles–stay home and get well, so others don’t get your contagious diseases. It’s simply socially acceptable and required behavior to do our best not to contaminate our fellow human beings.
In today’s world of computers–we use them to communicate and interact with other human beings. Just like we do when we meet with a friend or go to work. The internet is a way for us to communicate with others through our computers!
But we don’t even think about the health of our computers and how our infected or out dated computer system could harm our fellow human beings. When we catch a computer virus and then hook up to the internet–we literally have the potential to infect thousands of others with our own contagious computer viruses. Our computer problems–infect other computers—we bring troubles and disease to society in general. We are being Socially Irresponsible when we don’t keep our computers healthy and virus free. We are spreading our diseases to millions of other folks!!
This site is dedicated to helping individuals and small business to keep their computer systems healthy. I urge you to be a Socially Responsible Computer User. Keep your computers healthy and up to date! My belief is that only by recognizing our social responsibility here—will we be able to slow down and hopefully eliminate the onslaught of computer contagions that make us all sick and unproductive!
Have a Great Day,
Rusty Lee
