SUPERAntiSpyware is the most thorough scanner on the market. In my recent experience with the toughest bugs — this one works better than any other I’ve tested. They are also great people to work with. I would suggest downloading the Professional Version Trial to see how you like it. The Free Version works just as well, but doesn’t have scheduled scanning or a number of other great features including automatic updates. Just click on the image to visit their site.

One of the most common questions I receive is: What Anti-Virus program do you recommend? For years now I have recommended Kaspersky Anti-Virus. I’ve found that it offers some of the best protection available, and doesn’t slow your machine to a crawl like some of the others do. You can click on the image above and go straight to their site. Kaspersky offers 30 day trials so you can check it out before you buy. Make sure whenever installing an Anti-Virus program to remove all other Anti-Virus programs before you install the new one. Most folks can do quite well with just the Anti-Virus Product and probably don’t need the Security Suite–Especially if your system is behind a hardware firewall. For years now I’ve subscribed to a newsletter by Leo Notenboom: “Ask-Leo.com”. He answers real world questions in a way that is easy to understand for those that might be technically challenged. The questions I get from my clients are frequently answered by Leo. It’s important to note that whenever you ask two “Techies” the same question—you’ll almost always get two different answers.
